What ingredients do I need for Baked Potatoes with Sour Cream?
The delicious baked potatoes are made super quickly and do not need many ingredients.
Potatoes are probably one of the most popular side dishes in Germany. I recommend using waxy potatoes so they don’t go mushy in the oven.
Sour cream just goes really well with potatoes. It complements them perfectly with the fresh taste. Add a few herbs.
Herbs and spices turn even the most boring sauce into an absolute treat. Whether garlic, basil, parsley or chives. Just use different mixtures. Each baked potato will taste deliciously different.
How do you make baked potatoes?
It doesn’t take much for a delicious potato recipe. You need potatoes, some herbs and spices and sour cream or creme fraiche.
You can also decide whether you pre-cook your baked potatoes or cook them in aluminum foil in the oven before filling them.

There are countless variations, as already described above. Work with herbs and spices, add some vegetables or cheese.
If you like it vegetarian, just leave out the ham. You can use large potatoes and eat them with a salad as a main course, or you can use small potatoes for delicious baked potatoes as a side dish.
Can I prepare them?
Of course you can also prepare your baked potatoes with sour cream. Don’t bake them all the way through and just put them back in the oven 10 minutes before you eat them. Nobody will notice that you haven’t been sweating in the kitchen just before to get everything on the table on time.

We love eating a fresh salad with baked potatoes. If you want to make them as a side dish, make sure to prepare them for a barbecue. Everything really goes together with the delicious potatoes.
