Apparently garlic is very good for pimples
Who knew garlic could be a solution to pimples?
If you’re plagued by pimples on a regular basis, you know how annoying they can be – especially when you have something important coming up, like a job interview or a date. You often deal with various creams that dry out the pimple or you even squeeze it out. And the result? Red skin and maybe even a tiny wound. Luckily we have a solution. Next time you want to get rid of your pimples, just use some garlic!
garlic
Almost everyone has a head of garlic in their pantry. A clove of garlic adds instant flavor to any pasta sauce, but is also a great addition to soups or Asian dishes. Garlic is not only delicious, but also very good for the immune system and also has an anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore, raw garlic also helps with high cholesterol levels: it prevents clogging of the arteries. So next time, make your tzatziki or ai-oli easy with raw garlic or add a little bit to your salad dressing to enjoy this health benefit.
Pimple
Do you have a pimple and now you have to walk around with it? No need to panic, just grab a clove of garlic! Wash your face first. Then, cut off the top of the garlic clove and make a few nicks to allow the clove to release more of its juice. Then rub that side onto the pimple and let it dry overnight. The pimple then disappears due to the anti-inflammatory properties. This also applies to pimples that are below the surface of the skin. After just one night’s rest, you will already notice that the pimple is much flatter and less red. Small pimples even disappear completely!
skin
Garlic offers many health benefits but is particularly beneficial for the skin. As early as the 18th century, soldiers rubbed garlic on their wounds to prevent infection. In today’s modern medicine, we don’t recommend it anymore, but it still proves that garlic can prevent or even cure infection and inflammation – which is exactly what we need with pimples, because a pimple is nothing more than a small inflammation of the skin.
psoriasis
Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, garlic is also said to be good for psoriasis. You can use the garlic as described above or mix it with oil or cream. This can significantly reduce itching and irritation.
test
Some people are allergic to garlic, so it’s important to find out how your skin reacts to it. It is best to test this method on an inconspicuous area first, such as your wrist or elbow. In the case of an allergic reaction, garlic can do more harm than it helps against the pimple.
